Bored of spending your evenings and weekends sitting indoors waiting for adventure to find you? Well look no further . . . . !
From kayaking down rapids to climbing rock faces, from wild camping on Dartmoor to yacht sailing on the south coast, we do it all. Our new exciting programme covers all aspects of modern scouting with our own unique edge.
Our entire scout group is hugely popular and as such, we are currently full and have a waiting list of applicants. Therefore, we need additional adults to help in running the activities. Leaders and helpers come in all shapes and sizes and from all backgrounds. No previous experience in scouting is necessary as full training and support will be provided. You don’t have to be a Scout parent either.
There are roles that suit all skill sets and availability – from supporting the existing leaders during our meetings, training as a specific skills instructor or helping maintain our facilities.
Our current priority is for those able to volunteer to help at the section meetings; i.e. either on a Wednesday or Thursday evening for cubs and beavers respectively, or during Saturday afternoons at our scout meetings. No volunteer is expected to help every week! We set up a rota to ensure the effort is spread across our team.
Therefore, even if you only have as little as 2 hours a month to spare, we would be delighted to hear from you! You would be joining an experienced team who will welcome your own unique input into our activities, matching your commitment to your own specific objectives.
This is your chance to make a difference within our community and to help increase the success of Batchworth Sea Scouts.
