Batchworth Sea Scouts host an annual Family Sailing Evening at Bury Lake Young Mariners (BLYM), Rickmansworth Aquadrome each summer. It an opportunity for members to come and try Sailing, Kayaking, Canoeing and Dragon Boating; all current Batchworth families and supporters are invited. BLYM is the water sports centre 5 minutes walk from the main Aquadrome car park, where cars are normally left. Access is via Frogmoor Lane, just off Harefield Road. The centre is then along the path running to the left of the café.
Over 200 people regularly attend, giving family members of all ages a chance to experience fun on the water and relax with friends. We normally also hold our Annual General Meeting during the event and presented a number of Wood Badges, long-service awards and votes of thanks to our volunteers.
