Rediscover the Adventure

Welcome to the Batchworth Sea Scout group’s website. We are part of the Scout Association and have active Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers and Network sections which meet regularly at our Headquarters on Riverside Drive in Rickmansworth.

At Batchworth, not only will you will find all the traditional activities associated with Scouting, but you will find a whole lot more. From kayaking down rapids to climbing rock faces, from wild camping on Dartmoor to yacht sailing on the south coast. We do it all. Our new exciting programme covers all aspects of modern scouting with our own unique edge.
The emphasis at Batchworth Sea Scout Group is most definitely on FUN, as can be seen in our photo gallery.  We focus on water sports of all kinds and have an excellent fleet of boats that are used extensively by the scouts and explorers.
Our affiliation to the Royal Navy means we are recognised and inspected regularly.  We take great pride in being able to fly the Royal Navy Recognised Sea Scouts Ensign and are honoured to wear the Royal Navy recognised badge.

Suspension of Scouting

Following the advice of The Scout Association, Batchworth Sea Scouts is sorry to confirm that all face-to-face scouting activities are currently suspended until further notice.  This includes our weekly Beaver, Cub, Scout and Explorer scout meetings plus events including our fundraisers & camps.

However, we continue to keep in touch with all members and to devise alternative ways of delivering a service to our community.  Leaders are providing advice on completing badgework and other scouting activities that can be attempted from home.

Thank you to everyone for your support in these times and please contact us with ideas, suggestions and requests.
