Grand Jumble Sale

Visit our Jumble Sale! 

Our Grand Jumble Sale is held twice a year, typically in late March and late September, regularly attracting hundreds of customers. It’s a perfect day out for Jumblers and raises much needed money for the group.

The sale features clothes, books, comics, jewellery, bric-a-brac, toys, electrical items and much much more. A BBQ will be serving food throughout to provide much needed refreshments. We welcome contributions and collect from the local area 7 days before the sale date.

Volunteers are always needed to help with the collection of Jumble, sorting and manning the stalls on the day of the sale. We will also need help with clearing up after the event.

Due to the on-going Covid-19 pandemic, we are currently unable to confirm when the next Jumble Sale will be able to take place.  We hope to be back as soon as it is safe to do so.

Covid-19 and Scouting

Batchworth Sea Scouts follows the advice of The Scout Association in relation to the safe delivery of Scouting, who in turn work with The National Youth Agency to translate Government advice into governance rules.  They have implemented a tiered Readiness Level, controlling the type of activities that can be delivered based on local conditions.

We are currently at Yellow readiness level allowing group sessions where precautions and social distancing are implemented, including small overnight expeditions.  We expect further changes in the coming months as the national picture evolves.

Leaders continue to work with parents to deliver the best scouting experience possible, whilst conforming to the current Readiness Level restrictions.
